Course Description

The course structure provides learner-centered training to enhance English language skills among participants, giving them the opportunity to acquire fluency in the language while offering systematic grammar support and vocabulary expansion for academic and professional purposes.

Reading and Comprehension Exercises
Listening Comprehension and Retelling
Vocabulary Expansion
Phrasal Verbs, Confused Words, Homonyms, Synonyms,
Antonyms, Idioms & Proverbs
Syntactic features of the English language
Parts of Speech and their functions
Exercises on Grammatical analysis of words and sentences
Word-building (formation of Noun, Verb, Adjective, Adverb)
Standard English Pronunciation
Speech Training Exercises
Minimal Pairs
Stress and Intonation
Composition – Essay, Letter, Description of Event, Job Application
Introduction to Presentation Skills


A practical approach that emphasizes interaction is used to gain communicative competency, focusing on the functional aspects of language. Participants will receive relevant notes in the form of handouts.


Classes will be conducted once a week, covering 21 hours.
(14 sessions X One and a half hours)


On completion of the programme, participants will be assessed for their practical and theoretical knowledge of the language, and a Certification will be awarded by CELS.
