Phrasal Verbs, Confused Words, Homonyms, Synonyms,
Antonyms, Idioms & Proverbs
Syntactic features of the English language
Parts of Speech and their functions
Exercises on Grammatical analysis of words and sentences
Word-building (formation of Noun, Verb, Adjective, Adverb)
Standard English Pronunciation
Speech Training Exercises
Stress and Intonation
Composition – Essay, Letter, Description of Event, Job Application
Introduction to Presentation Skills
A practical approach that emphasizes interaction is used to gain communicative competency, focusing on the functional aspects of language. Participants will receive relevant notes in the form of handouts.
Classes will be conducted once a week, covering 21 hours.
(14 sessions X One and a half hours)
On completion of the programme, participants will be assessed for their practical and theoretical knowledge of the language, and a Certification will be awarded by CELS.
