Course Description

Candidate’s level of spoken and written English should be of a sufficiently high standard to enable them to perform the function of role models as language teachers. They must also have a high competence in reading and listening skills.

Pre-requisites

Qualifications that demonstrate evidence of prior learning or research which would establish the candidate’s experience in relation to the requirements of the course may also be considered. Participants will be assessed for eligibility to follow the course on a placement test.

Methodology

A practical and communicative approach is used focusing on enhancing the four language skills development, through student centered teaching techniques. Participants will be actively involved in the learning process.

Duration

Classes will be conducted once a week, covering 30 hours of lecture demonstrations followed by 24 hours of practical in house training and peer observation.

Certification

On completion of the programme, participants will be assessed for their practical and theoretical knowledge of their teaching competence, and a Certification will be awarded by CELS
